If it is true that we are what we eat, then we might as well incorporate some nice, nourishing meals that include fresh fruits and vegetables. It is common knowledge that the highest-quality produce is that which is grown in the soil of the surrounding area and requires the least amount of time to travel from the vine to the pan.
A gathering of local merchants, farmers, and artisans who display their wares may be found every Saturday morning at Grogan’s Mill for the Woodlands Farmer’s Market. Come meet the people who are responsible for growing our food, and take some buckets with you.
You can go picking ripe radishes, tomatoes, and strawberries if you ride your bike there and bring your dog along. While you peruse the handcrafted soaps and one-of-a-kind artwork, you may listen to live music. The Grogan’s Mill Farmers Market is often regarded as the best location in which to acquire one-of-a-kind gifts and keepsakes while in The Woodlands, TX area.
The Woodlands Farmer’s Market at Grogan’s Mill began in 2008 as “The Grogan’s Mill Farmer’s Market,” a weekly community event that was sponsored by the Grogan’s Mill Village Association. In 2012, the market changed its name to “The Woodlands Farmer’s Market at Grogan’s Mill.” The Grogan’s Mill Center plays host to the Market every Saturday between the hours of 9 am and 1 pm.
There is normally just one Saturday throughout the year on which the market is closed, and that is the Saturday that falls between Christmas and New Year’s Day. If you drive to the market, you will discover that there is ample parking in the center of the village. You can opt to walk or ride your bike there because it is situated right off of the Mill Bend Trail and provides direct access directly under Grogan’s Mill Road.
The Market is committed to maintaining high standards and mandates that all artisan and agricultural merchants either grow or produce the goods that they offer.
The charitable efforts of the Grogan’s Mill Village Association are supported by the revenue generated by our Market, which is donated back to the community. College scholarships from, sponsorship for CISD schools, and Good Citizen Awards are some of the initiatives that fall under this category; however, this list is not exhaustive.
