The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is an outdoor musical amphitheatre that can also be referred to as The Woodlands Pavilion (or just ‘The Pavilion’). It is situated in The Woodlands, Texas, which is a sub-urban neighborhood of Houston. In addition to being rentable, it is inclined towards contemporary art and performing art enthusiasts. The Center for the Performing Arts, which is itself a charitable organization, is the entity that owns and manages this wonderful venue.
In March of 2014, Huntsman committed to becoming the pavilion’s presenting sponsor by signing a contract for an entire 5 years. The amphitheatre boasts a capacity of 16,500 seats and is regarded as the world’s 2nd most often utilized amphitheaters. The arena has a capacity of up to 10,000 individuals (using both the covered and uncovered lawn seating).
Houston Grand Opera, the Houston Symphony, Houston Ballet, as well as the Cheek to Cheek Tour have all had performances at this facility in recent years. During the course of these performances, grass seating is typically made available free of charge as a result of a grant that is funded by a number of different sponsors.
Those attending concerts at 2002 Timberloch Place are welcome to park for free at the Pavilion. Parking lots open half an hour before the gates. There is parking available for free, parking available for a fee, parking that is accessible, and drop-off and pick-up services.
To get to the Pavilion, turn right on Lake Robbins Drive (the street with the suspension bridge), then turn left on 6 Pines Drive; this is the most direct route (potentially very busy) to the parking lot that is the closest to the pavilion. If you are headed for the Gold VIP parking lot (paid parking), as well as the free handicapped parking (with placard or plates), turn right on Lake Robbins Drive (the street with the suspension bridge).
