Atascocita Forest

Atascocita Forest is a community of approximately 1600 homes that is family-friendly and has deed restrictions on its use. It is located in the northeastern part of Harris County, in close proximity to US 59, Beltway 8, the Hardy Tollway, I-45, and FM 1960. Mellon Mortgage Company began development of the neighborhood in the middle of the 1970s, and the majority of the community’s nearly 1600 homes were constructed during the housing boom that occurred in Houston in the 1980s.

Residents have easy access to a wide variety of amenities, some of which include: Deerbrook Mall and numerous businesses and restaurants located in the Humble area, numerous entertainment and recreational venues and amenities, 12,000 acre Lake Houston, and the Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Atascocita Forest is a community in Atascocita, Texas, that provides its residents with a variety of amenities for their use and enjoyment. Among these amenities is a sizable pool and splash pad complex that also includes a covered pavilion and restrooms. In addition to this, the neighborhood has a park and recreation facility that is surrounded by fencing and has restricted access. The park and recreation facility includes a tennis facility with three lighted tennis courts, a quarter mile gravel walking/jogging trail, and lush green space with mature trees and beautiful landscaping.

The playground area that is covered in mulch and contains tot swings, belt style swings, a multi generational swing, and an ADA swing, as well as climbing structures, slides, and see-saws for the enjoyment of our younger residents. There is a picnic area that is shady from the trees and has multiple grills and picnic tables.

Pets that are kept on leashes are always welcome; we provide litter bags and locations to dispose of waste. You are able to organize community social gatherings that are suitable for families. At Whispering Pines Elementary School, in addition to having a sports field and playground, there is also a pavilion that can be used for basketball games. The Humble Middle School campus features outdoor basketball courts and an athletic track made of crushed stone.

Atascocita Forest is managed by a HOA known as the Atascocita Forest Community Association. This association is governed by a Board of Trustees that is comprised of homeowners who have recently been elected to their positions. In order to take care of the community’s business, the Board of Directors gets together once a month on the second Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. The meeting location rotates between the facility that houses the community pool and the offices of our management company, Goodwin and Co., which are located in Humble. In addition to regular meetings held on a monthly basis, the homeowners in the community get together once a year on the second Monday of February for the association’s annual meeting. At this meeting, board members are elected to represent their interests.
